There are some huge discounts in some communities that had an actual waiting list until very recently. The demand for vacation rentals nationally is doing great. People feel that staying in a home is a much safer option than staying in a hotel. While Orlando’s demand has lagged behind properties located in the mountains and beaches, things should pick up very quickly once COVID is entirely under control.
We should expect strong demand domestically in the short-term while the international market should be incredibly strong mid-term. There will be many people who did not have an opportunity to visit Disney, and that desire will keep building. We feel like the Orlando area will be in a great position within 24 months.
Don’t forget, Orlando welcomed 75 million annual visitors recently, and there are no plans to slow down. The Orlando International Airport will soon open the South Terminal, which will significantly expand its focus on welcoming international flights.
